The video received the AVN Awards in 2005 for "Best Selling Title of the Year," "Best Renting Title of the Year" and "Best Overall Marketing Campaign – Individual Project." Hilton originally sued Salomon for releasing the tape. In July 2005 the suit was settled out of court. Rumors of Hilton receiving up to $400,000 and a percentage of the profits donated to charity turned out to be untrue, when she told GQ magazine "I never received a dime from it. It's just dirty money and he should give it all to some charity for the sexually abused or something."
